Aries Spears Philadelphia Concert reviews
John Mellencamp was very disappointing
"Starting the show with the Authority song, Aries Spears impressed everyone, but the excitement quickly faded. After enduring an hour of a confusing and dull movie, restlessness set in. The first 3/4 of the show featured many of his dark new songs, leaving me unimpressed. Despite a different arrangement, Jack and Diane was particularly disheartening. Apart from a couple of classics, most of the songs were unrecognizable. Just as the audience finally got on their feet to dance and sing along, the show abruptly ended. Aries Spears should not neglect his hit songs that fans love. Although incorporating new tunes is fine, abandoning his established classics is disappointing. Attending the concert at a lower ticket price was a saving grace, as I would have been even more upset. The audience's boredom led to constant chatter throughout the performance."
